Toward a Brave New World: Rethinking the Early Childhood Educator Profession

The rising interest in the early years has placed early childhood educators at the crossroads of competing political and social arguments around early learning and care. The increasing demands (some reasonable – some not) placed on the field require an informed rethinking of the profession and the roles and responsibilities early childhood educators can play in the best interests of children and their families.
